About this Event
In light of the novel coronavirus pandemic people are looking for sound information about what we can do to stay healthy and to protect our families/communities. While hand-washing and maintaining social distance are imperative at this time, there is even more we can do.
In the first four weeks of this one-hour weekly webinar, Dr. Blake Kovner of the Naturopathic Health Clinic in Winston-Salem, will share her scientific knowledge of the epidemiology and history of coronaviruses as well as offer evidence-based guidance about natural therapies and plant medicines that help prevent and treat viral infections safely.
The FDA has implemented a “compassionate care” initiative to grant permission for providers to employ treatments that have no clinical trials when no known treatments are available. This is a double-edged sword as not all practitioners are familiar with the clinical application of botanical medicine and nutritional supplements. Dr. Blake A. Kovner has much to offer in these areas. She is a graduate of Bastyr University in Seattle, where she earned her doctoral degree in Naturopathic Medicine and was trained as a Primary Care Provider with a special interest in psycho-neuro-immunology and clinical plant medicine.
18 Springs Community Healing Center will be offering these weekly online Garden Side Chats with Dr. Kovner on Tuesday Evenings from 7:00-8:00 p.m. beginning March 24th. Initially, our focus will be on COVID-19. Later topics will evolve from the interest of those who participate.
